The Mind

Humans categorized as homo sapiens as well as other living creatures on this planet which we call Earth ...
Based on what we learned throughout our life, we know by our conscious mind that human beings are the most intelligent creature living on this planet and the only reason of it is because we, humans are able to think and act rationally.

As we know, science taught us that human beings think using the brain, yes ! The human brain is extremely unique because it actually gives human beings the power to think, plan, speak, imagine and etc... However, here's the question...

The brain is indeed an amazing part of a human being, but how about the mind ?
How does a human being feel existed in this world ?
Is it the brain or the mind who let's us feel so ?

Human being exists in this world is indeed a fact, but how do one confirms the identity of one...
How do i know that i am Nick ? and stays as Nick till the day i die ?
Which actually comes first ? Do i only born as Nick, live as Nick, die and Nick and never exist again ?

Human beings feels in control when our mind is in active and conscious mode... Self conscious allows us to be able to control our movements, actions and thinking... and that's when we're so sure that we're who we are now... For example, when we're awake... we know exactly who we are, what's our name, our parent's name, what we're supposed to do, our basic role, our personal responsibility and etc... But...

How about when we're asleep ?
Research says that when we're asleep, our brain puts into a rest mode where only a portion of our brain are actually still working where we're not completely dead...
Put it this way, when we're asleep... our brain rests, goes into a sleep mode where we'll be unable to perform actions when we're awake... this is called the unconscious mind...

In my personal humble opinion, i thinks that human beings has incredible mind because our mind allows us to feel existed... and knows our true identity...
i was once asked this question by my uncle, he asked me to tell him whether i think using my brain or my mind ? and i actually answered mind ...

Assuming the human brain actually contains a large storage of computer hard disk which is able to store a terabyte of data, a powerful processor which can run 4 times faster than the existing technology now... the brain can actually function like a computer where the mind is actually the person using the computer ! Imagine how powerful the mind could be...

Human beings are born with basic structure and almost everyone has the same structure and most importantly the brain are born the same with everyone else...
But, why would everyone actually thinks differently and has a different identity ?
The human body i would say is controlled by the mind where religion actually believes that inside the human body contains soul which after a person dies, reincarnation causes the soul to be possessing another new born baby and there, the start of a new life, new person and new identity...

However, i believe that it's not the soul but the mind which is actually the thing which controls and confirms the identity of one, feeling existed in this very body of one...
I always find the human brain and mind are the most amazing part of a human. The brain which is the physical, tangible one and the mind is the mental and intangible one...

I would continue talking bout the mind and the unique way of human thinking in my next post when i get more inspiration and knowledge while my thoughts go wandering about how fantastic one's mind and brain can be ... The most amazing part of a homo sapien is how one actually think which differs from one another... rite, this all might looks a bit like crap to some of you... but if you're interested we can surely discuss about it ! haha

Human beings, known as the most intelligent creature on this planet because of the ability to think... however, which is actually the one controlling the human thinking ?

AGGRESSION, INSANITY ?

something unbelievable jz happened last nite at about 11.50pm till 12.30am ...
something incredibly unbelievably unexpected happened which cause 3 of us in shock !
this incident made me realize how far the lengths of aggression can reach ...
aggression is a kind of anger or furious in any person...
if you are able to control your aggression well enough, things would be calm ... however, if one is unable to handle the anger within, the lengths of what can be done is far unpredictable and unexpected !

i'm gonna skipped the part on who is who and wad actually happened ... sry about tt ...

What i'm gonna share is sumthing which i personally think is crazy and insane !
on tt nite while we're on our way to our destination for the tea session ....
one guy actually jumped on top of the hood of my fren's car !
we were all startled when we heard a "BAM" sound on top of our heads !
we wondered who or wad the hell was that who jumped on top of the hood ....
in jz an instant, we saw hands holding the side of the car and started banging and punching the roof!
wad happened was he actually tot we were following him home and claimed tt he was in a defensive mode tt's y he jumped on top of the hood and started attacking the poor Iswara...

We were all terrified and startled, panic till the driver went as fast as he could hoping to throw him away from the hood ... however, failed ... and we reached an empty space ....

We were scared if we pulled over, what would happened to us !
Therefore, the driver started spinning the car hoping to throw him down or rather hold him on top while i make a police report so that the police can come to help us...

The worst thing is while he was on top, he kept shouting "TOLONG" to the guards nearby the building we're at ... and continuously punching the roof and also the windscreen of the car...
When he heard me calling the cops from outside, he started to punch the window on my side of the car and cursing me to stop ! Amazingly, the police took about 20 mins to reach the scene and eventually we stopped and came out of the car in relieve .....

The insane guy who was on top of the hood of the car ( i shall call him KKK ) finally was willing to come down of the car ....
Once he came down he started talking unstoppable to the cops trying to explain what he was trying to do on top of the hood ...
The funny thing is that he claims that he works as an Research Asistant in some company, a Tutor for some University which he said the full name of the University in confidence and also !!! a BEKAS TENTERA and is about the age of 29 almost 30 !!! WTF !...

When asked, he claims that he jumped on top of the hood was because he suspected that we were actually following his car to the place where he stays to harm him !
He claimed that he actually shouted at us from behind to ask us to stop ! but hell, who could hear someone shouting from the outside of the car while we were inside a moving car ?

He was in an insane mode while he was on top of the hood, cursing, punching, tearing up whatever he could tear from the car ! omg, poor Iswara....

We were then asked to lodge a report at the police station ...
the police who heard about what happened was shocked about KKK's doings ! who wouldn't ?
the insanity, aggression and i would say courage who could make someone jump on top of the hood of a moving car is incredible !!

I'd say that the driver and me are pretty innocent haha !...
I realise that aggression could cause one to go to an extreme where unpredictable actions could be done ....

Of course, aggression aren't natural or came when u're born...
people feel aggressive for some reason where maybe something other people had done to them or a way to feel more secure or in a way to defend urself from something...
However, one never know when the anger inside will erupt as a living or dead volcano ...

Believe it or not, aggression can really drive someone to insanity causing them to great lengths of actions.... therefore one must learn to control emotion and fight aggression ....

Incomplete

living in this world is so full of uncertainties, you'll never know what will happen the next minute or even the next second...
sometimes, things just happen before you even know it...
however, it's often too late when you realize the truth ...
the truth is what has happened can't be rewind...
life isn't like movie or music, we can't rewind it or undone it...
whatever done is done, whatever hurt is hurt ....
this is the reason why people always regret in the things they have done...
coz we never realize the impact or result of our doings...


truth vs lie
sometimes, knowing the truth is worst den being lied by someone...
however if you were to ask me, i would rather lie if the truth is unacceptable...
i understand that to keep someone in the dark is bad, but often a lie is better than telling the truth...
sometimes, knowing that it's a lie can also be hurting...
however if you were to ask me, i would rather not speak than to lie...
however if telling the truth, lying, and not speaking is not applicable... i might choose to leave...
often, people hate to be lied and kept in the dark ...
however, telling the truth can hurt 100 times more than lying...
so, to lie or to tell the truth ?

Lying is bad, but sometimes a lie is more beautiful than the truth... as the truth is often ugly...

i've been trying to understand myself for a long time...
most often, i'll be lost and unable to find the true me...
however, i always do things following my heart... neglecting what's beside me...
i do understand that i always do things ended up hurting people i care...
and often realize it after things can't be undone...
calling me a "jerk" or "bastard" is the best word i think...
this time, i did things against my principle and go with my feelings again...

a glass which is broken is unable to mend, even if it's mend, the cracks are still there... as it'll never be the same again...
a bucket of water which is poured away is unable to collect back, even if it's collected back, the amount or quality of it will never be the same again...
a piece of paper which is torn is unable to glue back, even if it's glued back, there are still holes... as it'll never return to the original...

Life is unrewindable once the play button is pressed....

L-O-V-E != Love

if someone were to ask me about "what is love ?" i will tell him/her that love is about commitment, responsibility and care in general definition. However, if were to ask me to describe love in my own point of view, i will say that love is depending on one's heart, where one will know when love comes without any logical definition... Love comes and go without someone noticing it... it'll be gone forever once someone misses it... However, if one is able to read the signs about it arriving, one will be able to grab it and never let go...

Sometimes, one will tell you that which belongs to you will be yours sooner or later, but i don't believe in this kinda nonsense.... Why do i call this nonsense ? it's because, nothing will be determined if one just sit there and wait... yea, you might call waiting as waiting for fate... (if you believe in fate) Yes, i do believe in fate... strongly, i believe that everything in this world, in life is fated, where who and who become friends, who and who become couple and who and who become enemy... However, i believe that when fate comes, one must learn to grab the fate... which pure waiting for fate is crap and useless ! To me, once fate arrives... if one is unable to see the signs and grab it, it'll be gone and not for temporary while its forever... which makes one regret in the future... Therefore, if you learn that fate has arrived ... where you think he/she is the right one... never let it go when you didn't even try ....

In my point of view, as what i always tell/advice my friends ... Trying to win someone's heart is actually the same as doing business ( if you understand how is business ) where the right amount of investments and effort will do the trick ;-) ... *confused* ? haha Talking about love, i will once again congratulate my sis as she had stepped into the sea of love being able to share happiness and woes with her husband which now i call him my bro-in-law... I witnessed my sis's wedding last sunday(7/9/2008), a memorable event of the year ! I'm happy, very happy that my sis has finally get married with her love one... I admit that i really enjoyed the moment of marriage where couples work hard for this very memorable once in a lifetime day ...

There, as i had always tried to help my friends in their love relationship problems... i had gone through different types of cases where different people manages relationship differently where different relationships results in different outcomes...

Whether it is happy or unhappy, i always take it as a lesson or guideline of my life where i'll use it as reference if one day the situation occur within mine...

Love is sweet, if one knows what it is ... however, love can be bitter if one feels the core of it ...

Future

Future ? This question seems to be surrounding me a lot lately.
The reason of this topic surrounding me is because of we're gonna graduate very soon ... yea ! how time flies...
graduating indirectly means we're gonna be out of job ! omg, how's the true life out there after we say bye bye to studying life ?

Seriously, i've never been thinking of my future in a really strict manner as i still have another 3 months to go ... but yea, my frens shared their opinion about what they really wanna achieve in the future, after graduating .. some of em had found their job,
some are still pondering,
some never even think or the truth is actually dare not to think of it....
Well, talking about future... my fren shared something real interesting with me which actually speaks my mind...

I believe that living in this world should be like, live life cool or live and enjoy life ! yea.....
living happily is defined differently by different people who has different perspective and hopes on their own life... many wants to be successful ... means rich ? *wondering*
As what i always wish for ... a simple life with a wife, kids, a house, a car, a steady job .... but who knows ?
Life is already so difficult, however to achieve a simple life isn't easy at all considering inflation rate, economy crisis, value of money dropping, price going up ... how much is enough to survive ?
Judging from my knowledge and education level now, i wonder what will i be doing in the future ?
ain't good in programming, ain't really good in communication, ain't really good in networking...
What's my future's gonna be like ? *unimaginable*

Happiness?
Speaking of this word, to say is easy, but to achieve is actually difficult depending on the level on how contented and satisfied one can be about their own life.
However, talking back on what my friend shared ... he said that, to be happy and contented... one can actually feel it by just looking around at how many family members i'm having now, the number of frens that i have, which you actually has a bunch of brothers ( you know who you are ! :) ,glad that i have ya all) which never betrayed or left me behind...
At the very least, i have the opportunity to get my tertiary education done, have a place to stay, have time for entertainment ( plenty of it ), have a car(SLK= Sexy Little Kancil :D) which allows me to travel around conveniently ( thanks to my mum ! love ya ),
have enough money to spend ( thanks to my sis, you've been great ! love u 2 ) !
So i would say that, one must learn to be contented and satisfied... as happiness is actually simple !

Simple = happiness, learn to be contented ! however, treasure what you have instead of searching for more ...

i'm back blogging and hell yea, i feel better now and have extremely good mood in typing altho there's still loads of crappy fyp stuffs i haven't done yet.

well, as wad my lecture (Mr Tan) said today, life is like a basketball game.
it's divided into four quarters which we as a player has to play our life like a basketball game,
thinking of strategies and planning ahead on how to win in the first quarter of life and continue winning till the end of the game. Yet, it was in terms of financial of course ...
By being able to achieve the goal or win in the first quarter of our life, which is the age of 25-35, we'll be able to achieve somewhat called financial security which is extremely difficult to achieve.

However, in my realistic and mature thinking of life ... YES, money in the fact IS important and hell yea, i definitely wanna earn more than anyone else and live the life as a king ! Being successful in life is a dream, a hope and a wish !
But, the truth is. ... in my super humbly opinion of my lame thinking about life, i dun really care a damn about earning or achieving like 100k per year or having a savings of 500k when i open my bankbook in the age of 25 or 30....

In my definition of success is definitely different from many people.
Many people thinks that being successful in life means u're earning more than anyone else, being one of the pioneer or the richest man in the country or maybe the whole world.
In my way of thinking, i do not think that being successful is defined as being rich...
Even if the world's simplest and lamest thing being successfully completed is already successful !
Think of it as someone who has never cooked before, not even instant mee... yet when he/she finally determined to learn to cook and finally learn how to cook. Even know he/she cant cook like a five star hotel restaurant chef, he/she is considered successful...
What i'm trying to express is that, the level of successful shouldn't be aimed as high as being the best in the world instead of being best in ur life !

Yea, this world actually goes like that ! what people say is good is good, what people say is bad is bad.
This is because of cultural and social norms that influences everyone to think and do as what other people thinks is good !
I do think that there ain't right or wrong in this world, it's just whether u did it with a conscience clear.

Sometimes i do wonder, human are full of desire... isit god despises us or created us just to c what are our limits !
Sometimes i do wonder, being contented easily is good or bad ? i'm a easy contented person, damn easy to be satisfied and that's y i dun have dreams like being rich or being known by everyone. kinda pathetic huh ? :p
